Casyopee - Interrupting Maxima
By continuing your navigation on this site, you accept the use of cookies to offer you contents and adapted services. Legal Notice.

If Casyopée is expecting a result from Maxima for too long a time (adjustable in the Options dialog), a message invites you to continue to wait (Yes) or stop (No).

This happens in case a command in Casyopée starts a very complicated calculation in Maxima, or an infinite loop.

The stop command can be sent without waiting for the message, by typing Ctrl-i.

You can test a Maxima infinite loop by entering the formula 'boucle()' in the "Evaluate Formula" box, choosing the Maxima Entry Syntax.
