1. Software

Since version 3.3.7, Casyopée does not load anymore the  files .CAS prior to version 3.3.0.
This version 3.3.6 is able to load these files and to save them in the new format.
Please unzip the folder V_3_4_6 in a Casyopee3 folder, and run  Casyop346.exe in this folder.

 Casyopée Upgrade latest version. Automatic update works from version 3.2.6. This is the "by hand" procedure for previous version 3. Download the file maj.exe into the /casyopee3 directory (where casyopee.exe is). If you want to keep the existing version, rename casyopee.exe into casyopee_old.exe. run maj.exe In case you did not rename casyopee.exe, you will be prompted to confirm replacement. In case you do not want to keep the previous version, you can erase the directory V_3_y_x   Run casyopee.exe as usual.

2. Documentation

Warning: this manual corresponds to 3.1 version 3.1 delivered in 2013. Since then, new features have been added, some functions have been reviewed (including the settings) and the choice has been made to develop an online documentation (menu "Software" of this site). The manual remains a good entry into Casyopée use. Itcan be supplemented by the online documentation as you become used.

 For this manual, our choice has been to introduce the user by offering several situations with a step‐by step guidance. It will be complemented by an online reference manual specifying the capabilities and options. The preliminary activity is about mathematics expressions in Casyopée.  The first three sections introduce to the notion of function in Casyopée. The next sections detail the Casyopée’s capabilities in dynamic geometry especially to model dynamic dependencies. Another  section illustrates how a curve of a function defined symbolically can be handled as a geometrical object and the case of parametric curves. Finally, the manual presents geometrical locus. 65 pages
